Capital of the Queendom of Nyll
Once, Miraille Towers was but a single tower, built as the dwelling and throne of the sovereign of Nyll. The Tower of Miraille, ancient and strong, stood alone atop a green-stone promontory overlooking the valley. It was a symbol of wisdom and vigilance, from which the queen of the time, Queen Aurelen Miraille, ruled over a then-fragmented and fragile kingdom.
But then came the time of war.
During the Great Eastern Assault, the forces of the Aerthas Dominion swept into Nyll, attacking both by sea and through the inland forests. It was the reigning king, King Kaelar Varenth, who led the defense. Fearing for the life of the queen and the royal bloodline, Kaelar ordered that Aurelen and the court remain safe within the Tower of Miraille, while he marched east to confront the invading armies.
The battle reached its climax at what is now known as King’s Gate — once a border outpost, now a memorial to the king’s final stand.King Kaelar fell in battle, but his courage delayed the enemy long enough for reinforcements from the Kingdom of Valdorn—bound to Nyll’s royal house by an ancient blood pact—to arrive.
Queen Aurelen, seizing command, led the combined forces of Nyll and Valdorn to repel the invaders. In memory of her fallen husband and as a symbol of the kingdom’s rebirth, Aurelen commissioned the construction of a second tower, raised alongside the first:the Tower of Varenth, dedicated to Kaelar.
Over time, the twin towers became the heart of Nyll’s power.A thriving city grew around them, fueled by trade, the arts, and knowledge. Queen Aurelen’s enlightened reign—forever remembered as “The Mother of the Twin Towers”—laid the foundation for an era of stability. The city that rose around the towers was named Miraille Towers, and it remains the capital to this day.
Now, the two towers still stand, an inseparable symbol of love, sacrifice, and resilience.
"Each soul finds its path. Some encounter calm, others chaos. Death comes, but how we face it is ours to choose."
